Whether you’re seeking a cozier life or simply cozier moments, you can find them by embracing imperfections. You will learn how to welcome the beauty in the imperfect and create a life filled with warmth and contentment.

Self-Honesty

Radical self-honesty is when you stop unnecessary big/small lies with self in an effort to protect your ego. When you stop lying to self you also STOP wasting your time. Instead, you start investing in the things that align with your vision and life goals. This class will make you scary powerful.

Self-Love

But for real—what is self-love? We’ll break down self-love, respect, and healing into easy-to-understand components. You’ll discover how you currently love yourself and identify any gaps. By the end of this, you’re going to fall madly in love with yourself.

Spirituality

Mend old wounds and enhance your healing experience through deeper spirituality. You’ll learn self-guided healing techniques and simple methods to calm your spirit during times of high stress. Spiritual healing continues to give, long after this class ends.

Class 9

Financial Wellness

Establish your next money move from tiny steps like saving more to bigger ambitions like buying a home. Discover the emotional barriers that block healthier financial decisions.

Class 10

Use Your Words

Our words are so powerful. But all our lives starting in childhood other people gave us words and meanings that did not help us to thrive. We are going to trash the unhelpful stuff. You will reduce making comparisons that puts your value down. And yes manifesting will be discussed.

Self-help Course Examples

Culturally Aware Self-Love

BIPOC communities thrive when we operate as a collective. We can practice healthy self-love and boundaries without severing ties with our pillars of support. In this module, we’ll focus on improving both your internal and external dialogue to better communicate boundaries with love. We’ll step away from the norms of the dominant White culture and reclaim our power, resonating with our African roots and spirituality. For instance, we’ll explore how to turn a “hard no” into a “soft yes” when asked for a favor—and when it’s essential to stand firm. You’ll learn who in your life deserves this softer approach and who requires a more direct response.

Healthy Habits That Stick

They lied to us, y’all! It takes more than 21 days to create a healthy habit—try 60 to 90 days to truly build, evolve, and make it stick. In this module, you’ll learn which habits to focus on, the exact steps to make them happen, and you’ll have your supportive community keeping you accountable. By the time our program ends, you’ll have at least one new habit firmly established.
Examples of habits achieved:

  • More daily hydration
  • Morning/night time routines
  • More sleep/rest
  • Fewer procrastination habits
  • Prioritizing self-care time

Be Your Own Therapist 

You are already an expert in your life. Now, you get to leverage therapy-level skills independently of a therapist.

What a therapist does to help you see your own truth:

  • Stays incredibly curious
  • Asks open-ended questions that dive deep
  • Helps you reframe meaning
  • Encourages you to be honest with yourself
  • Guides you in creating safe spaces in your mind, body, and physical surroundings
  • Teaches you to flood your mind with positive self-talk, drowning out negative dialogue
  • Holds space for your sadness, tears, and anxiety
  • Offers fresh ideas and new perspectives

It’s a heavy lift that doesn’t all happen at once. However, Dr. Michelle’s goal with each student is to graduate them with therapy-level skills. Sometimes, you’ll need a professional, and you’ll know when to seek one. But for all the other times, you’ll be able to trust yourself to initiate self-healing or reach out to a friend, family member, or other trusted village member.

Dr. Michelle Wiltshire is part of the 2% club of Black psychologists in the world because she gave up on perfect and embraced the imperfections of her life. With that mindset change, followed by behavioral changes, she freed herself from negative self-talk and unhealthy habits that hindered her holistic health. While still far from perfect, she managed to accomplish all of the following:
